My Experience Designing this Website

I would say I'm content with the design of this website, especially when it comes to the color scheme and fonts I have chosen. Wix's features made it easier for me to connect my pages to each other, organize my work samples, and create a website that is easy to navigate. Although placing the work was easy, I ran into an issue with my first style attempt, so I had to use trial and error to figure out a better color scheme with text that is readable but not boring to look at. Outside of the design process, a skill I have also learned is how to write a description to make my work sound professional and my skills sound desirable.
While I was working on this project, there were times when I was confused and a few questions came to mind: How does formality change between portfolios for different jobs? For example, is a technical writing portfolio supposed to have a more neutral color scheme while a journalism portfolio has more style flexibility? How should I organize my site when I only have a few work samples in my portfolio? My next step might be to look at LinkedIn and see what writing professionals from different fields recommend to beginners, or I could look for some online articles. I may also look for public portfolio sites to use as examples.
